After five seconds on the skates. Stepdad resting in the cool breeze in the background.

The skates in action. I have to keep reminding myself to bend my knees and lean forward.
I did notice a few people looking at me. And I think one person took a photo. At least I didn't fall over. Haven't fallen over in these yet.

Having a quick rest.

On the way back. Rolling along.
More pictures to come.

Birthday Girls

Yesterday was Mojo's FIRST birthday!!!!
I still let all the liluns sleep in otherwise they'd all be complaining and tired.
Mojo got her two handmade cards in the morning.
Slipped on her little headband with the pink bow and had a wonderful day.
She does seem a little bigger.
When Grammie got home, Mojo had another pressie. A little pink box. But it's too small for her to fit in. I need to find something cute for her to keep inside.
Then today, it's my birthday. I'm old! :(
But then I just think that my brother's are even older! :)
My skates haven't arrived from America yet, but I have a bunch of cards. Two posted from UK, one posted from NZ.
A cute Mickey Mouse tee
A watch - non digital it's gonna take me a while to figure it out.
A total of $30.80NZD
Couple notebooks/journal
A pack of Jack Daniels Chocolates!!!!!
Okay, run out of things to say.

Picnic Time

On Saturday we decided to go to The Botanical Gardens for a picnic.
It was about 20 degrees and nice and sunny. With a warm breeze.

Enjoying our lunch on the green green grass.

Crashed out!

The beautiful view. Lovely blue sky and gorgeous green grass.

The Human Sun Dial near the Carter Ob (the building in the background).

Waiting for the cable car

Mom - happy after skating.

I hurt my hand quite a lot.

Two happy skaters.

Afterwards we went to a nice pub along the waterfront. Red Bull and double Vodka, Cidar and Beer!

Sunday at Te Papa for lunch
Two little birdies.

Sitting on the wall - watching for food!

Pictures to come...

Me and mom are having skating lessons in a couple hours! This should be fun. I wonder if I should try and get mom to have a glass of wine first....

That would be even more fun! You know what Mom gets like when she's a had ONE glass of wine!

Still nothing heard back from Immi.

I picked up a few more Christmas Pressies yesterday - there are just so many bargains around and the stock changes every couple days.

There are lovingly wrapped in brown paper and ribbon sitting under a chipboard tree.

Next comes the birthdays! Mojo has her little surprise wrapped up and hidden. Hopefully I will get something from my Bros (hint) and my dad.

Then Christmas.

Then another birthday before Febuary even begins.

This will be our first Christmas (in the sun) without singing and dancing Homer!!!!

"I cut my skull this morning."

I picked up this skull mini album a few weeks ago. Finally got around to picking out some papers and starting this.

The New Zealand Christmas Tree.

Getting ready to go skating. Knee pads, ankle pads and wrist pads.
I fell once going down a slop with the wind pushing me. We have booked some lessons next week and will learn how to stop.

Action shot!

M and P got a Croc Quadricycle for two. I got squeeshed in the middle. Apart from the wind it was fun.

Picture Post

Yesterday we went down to the Waterfront at 7pm. Saw the waterskiers and racers.

The container yard is in the background. Lovely looking cloud.

I love the colours of this shot. Used the scenery setting. Looking towards Oriental Bay.

Gorgeous colours!

The life boat has sprung a big leak!

The life boat is in there.

This is an old boat that was built and came from Scotland that has stayed in Wellington Harbour. Normally this boat does nothing but last night they had the engines on and the steam hooting out.

FIREWORKS! I took a couple videos so will upload them in a while.

EDIT:
All 4 short videos are HERE. Make sure you have the volume on as there is music.
